It is said that when Marco Polo came back to Italy, after his trip to China, he found two new discoveries – gun powder and spaghetti. Now we all know what everyone took up the art of how to use gun powder, but for some reason the Italians were the only ones that really took the art of making pasta seriously. Unfortunately Italy has many mountains and very little farm land in which to plant wheat, so you can imagine the joy of the Italian immigrants when they come to America and like Marco Polo they discovered the Great American farm lands.
